Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Agriculture what was the total expenditure incurred by his Department in respect of costs and damages awarded to the plaintiff in the libel action, Odium v. Stratton; and, in view of the criticisms passed by the judge upon the evidence given by Mr. Price, Chief Executive 91W Officer of the W.A.E.C, why he was restored to that office which he had vacated after publication of the libel.
§ Mr. T. WilliamsThe damages awarded in the case in question amounted to £500 and have been paid. As the plaintiff's solicitors have not yet submitted their bill of costs, the amount of the costs cannot yet be stated. In reply to the last part of the Question, Mr. Price served continuously as Chief Executive Officer of the W.A.E.C. until he was appointed Principal of the Harper Adams Agricultural College.
