§ 81. Mr. Shurmerasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the increasingly shabby condition of men's boots and clothing due to the number of coupons now required, he will consider lowering the coupon values of these articles.
§ Mr. BelcherThe coupon values of rubber soled and certain other kinds of footwear have recently been reduced but, apart from this, we should not be justified in reducing the coupon value of men's boots and clothing. The total number of coupons was, of course, raised for the current rationing period.
