Mr. Palmerasked the Secretary of State for War the circumstances under which a compulsory deduction has been made from the pay of men in the 2nd Battalion, East Surrey Regiment, stationed in Palestine, for providing a Christmas dinner; and whether it is proposed to penalise men who have refused to accept such deduction.
