§ 147. Mr. Lipsonasked the Attorney-General if he has considered the situation created by the fact that no action for damages lies against the Crown in respect of wrongful actions done by its servants; and if he will introduce legislation in the near future to remedy the hardship caused thereby.
§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Government are aware of the necessity of introducing legislation to deal with this matter as soon as Parliamentary time is available. In the meantime, the Government will do their best to ensure that none of His Majesty's subjects are deprived of a remedy in respect of wrongful acts committed by Crown servants.
