§ 115. Mr. Shurmerasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the shortage of crockery ware in the homes of the people; and when more and cheaper household crockery will be on sale in the shops.
§ Sir S. CrippsAlthough I am aware that the home supplies of crockery have not yet increased sufficiently to make good the wartime deficits, I am glad to say that supplies have been increasing and rose from just over 43 million pieces in July-September, 1945, to just over 52 million pieces in the same period this year. I hope this increase will be continued. Prices are being kept constantly under review.
