§ 41. Mr. Goochasked the Minister of Health if he will take steps to ensure that, in the provision by rural district councils of new houses for letting in rural districts, the claims of farmworkers are not overlooked in view of the importance of increasing the permanent labour force on the land.
§ Mr. BevanSpecial subsidy is payable in respect of houses built by rural district councils for agricultural workers. I think that councils generally are alive to the very real needs of such workers.
