Mr. Prittasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a 310W statement on the recent diamond discoveries in Tanganyika; and what steps he is taking to ensure that this field will be developed for the benefit of the people of Tanganyika and not directly or indirectly controlled by private organisations in South Africa or elsewhere.
