§ Mr. StracheyThe total quantity of milk sold off farms in England and Wales in October, 1945, was 94 million gallons; total sales in October, 1946, are estimated at 99 million gallons. The quantities of milk used in the manufacture of butter, cheese and milk powder were as follow:
