GriffithsThe average weekly number of payments of unemployment assistance at the Whitehaven, Cleator Moor and Millom employment exchanges in the four weeks ended 8th November. 1946, were 176, 173 and five respectively. The figures for Whitehaven and Cleator Moor included eight and 26 payments respectively in supplementation of unemployment benefit.
