§ 84. Mr. A. Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will consider appointing suitable disabled ex-Servicemen to undertake the duties of controlling traffic at school crossings, etc., and thus relieve policemen for other duties and reduce the road accident toll.
§ Mr. EdeDiscussions on this subject have recently taken place between the various Departments concerned with the question of ensuring the safety of schoolchildren on their way to and from school, and I hope that proposals for dealing with it will be made to local authorities at an early date.
