§ 149. Mr. A. Lewisasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that people who were bombed out and lost their homes were never able to fully replace their stock of bed linen and have not been able to do so since and are therefore suffering under a great hardship; and, in view of this, if he will consider granting dockets to those so affected.
§ Sir S. CrippsPeople who lost their household goods through enemy action have been amongst the priority classes to whom dockets for blankets and sheets are issued ever since the schemes were introduced. The scale of issue is subject to revision in the light of the supply position and is as generous as supplies allow.
