asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) whether he proposes to make a statement on the trade talks now proceeding between representatives of the United Kingdom and others of the United Nations;

(2) whether he proposes to make a statement on the recent trade talks between representatives of the United Kingdom and the Dominions and Colonies.

My right hon. and learned Friend hopes to take an early opportunity of making a statement on the meeting, which will shortly terminate, of the Preparatory Committee of the International Conference on Trade and Employment, now in session in London.
