§ Sir T. Mooreasked the Minister of Fuel and Power when it is proposed to set up a committee to consider mining subsidence, and whether he can give an assurance that the owners of property affected by such subsidence will be represented on such committee.
§ Mr. ShinwellWith regard to the first part of the Question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Abertillery (Mr. Daggar) on 5th November, of which I am sending him a copy. With regard to the second part, I cannot promise specific representation on the committee of all the many interests concerned. The committee's function will be to give impartial consideration to all aspects of the problem, and I have no doubt that ample facilities will be afforded for the giving of evidence.
