§ 91. Mr. E. Evansasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that essential materials for the repair of the sea wall at Lowestoft have had to be brought by road at an increased cost to the Corporation owing to the embargo on delivery of such materials by the L.N.E.R.; and whether, in view of the serious consequences which would ensue, due to delay in delivery of these materials, he will cause the embargo to be removed.
§ Mr. BarnesI am aware of the difficulties which are due primarily to shortage of locomotive power. The restrictions on acceptance of traffic are reviewed daily and removed as soon as conditions allow.
