§ Mr. WestwoodThe punishment of prisoners in Scottish prisons for misconduct is governed by the Prisons (Scotland) Rules. Revised rules are in course of preparation. When they are made, they will be laid before both Houses of Parliament in accordance with the requirements of Section 58 of the Prisons (Scotland) Act, 1877, and will be subject to negative resolution procedure.
