131. Mr. Irving

asked the Minister of National Insurance when Mrs. E. J. Cadwell, No. 42498341 and Mr. William Cross, No. 39505749, may expect to receive their new pension books.

Mr. Steele

A pension order book to enable Mrs. Cadwell to receive pension at the new rate of 16s. a week appropriate in her case, was sent to the post office at Bruce Grove, Tottenham, on 31st October. With regard to Mr. Cross, my Department has not been notified of his retirement from regular employment; if inquiry shows that he is qualified for the increased pension it will be put into payment as quickly as possible.

Lieut.-Colonel Sharp

asked the Minister of National Insurance when Mrs. Louisa Hodgson, 29, Chapel Avenue, Heckmondwike, pension No. 43428041, will receive her new pension book entitling her to draw 16s. per week old age pension.

Mr. Steele

A pension order book to enable Mrs. Hodgson to receive pension at the new rate of 16s. a week was sent to the post office at Heckmondwike on 31st October.
