§ 17. Mr. J. Fosterasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the National Federation of Fruit and Potato Trades applied to the Import Licensing Department on 6th September last asking what arrangements are to be made this year for the importation of Christmas trees and mistletoe so that the trade could be advised; and whether such information will now be made available so as to ensure adequate arrangements for a fair allocation of such business amongst the merchants concerned.
§ Mr. MarquandYes, Sir. A Press announcement will be issued very shortly setting out the arrangements to be made this year for imports of mistletoe. I cannot see my way to allow imports of Christmas trees.
