HC Deb 31 May 1946 vol 423 c246W
Mr. McAdam

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he is prepared to grant facilities to charitable organisations, including churches in Great Britain, for sending money to the continent of Europe to enable approved relief agencies to purchase U.S. military stocks in Europe for the benefit of necessitous people.

Mr. Dalton

I have been asked to reply. I understand that all U.S. military surpluses in Europe of bulk essential foods and relief supplies are already appropriated, either by U.N.R.R.A., by European governments, or by the U.S. authorities to supply their own zone in Germany.
