§ Mr. IsaacsAs I stated in the House on 30th April, it will be open to the universities to apply for release in Class B of scholars and highly promising students in any subject who are still serving in the Forces and are in release groups 1 to 55. I am not prepared to extend these arrangements to provide that university students may be released from the Forces before their turn in age and service order solely on the ground that they would be due for release in Class A before the end of the year.
