§ Miss WilkinsonIt is not possible to say how many applications have been received from Wales under the Emergency Training Scheme. At the beginning of May, however, out of nearly 18,000 candidates who had up to that time been accepted, 642 had expressed the desire to teach in Wales. Of these, 229 had commenced training.
