asked the Minister of Labour what steps are being taken to call up for military service additional numbers of men between 19 and 30 years of age who were in reserved occupations during the war.

Mr. Isaacs:

Numbers of such men are called to the Forces each month. Only those whom it is regarded as essential to retain in civil life are deferred or reserved and the position is kept constantly under review.
