Captain Chetwyndasked the Minister of Works if he is aware that the temporary housing programme at the Albany Road site, British section, Stockton-on-Tees, is being held up through lack of supplies; that skilled and semiskilled men are being paid off by the contractor; and whether he will make suitable supplies from the storage depots at Dalton near Thirsk and at Aycliffe available for this work.
§ Mr. Tomlinson:Yes, Sir. It is regretted that owing to a misunderstanding inadequate supplies were sent to the Albany Road site. Steps have been taken to rectify this and supplies are now ample.
