HC Deb 14 May 1946 vol 422 c216W
142. Mr. Lang

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs if, following the Government's policy for holding, during 1946, elections in Newfoundland, as early as climatic conditions permit, to elect a National Convention to examine the condition of Newfoundland, he will now state in which month the elections will be held.

Mr. Bottomley:

A definite date has not yet been fixed, but it is at present contemplated that the elections should take place in the latter half of June.
