78. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the decision to withdraw British troops from Egypt, he will now give early consideration to the proposals for establishing a training area for British troops in Kenya.

81. Lieut.-Colonel Price-White

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the decision of His Majesty's Government to remove British troops from Egypt, it is intended to extend and develop existing Army training grounds and bases in East Africa in the near future.

Mr. Bellenger:

Following the decision to withdraw British troops from Egypt the future dispositions of our Forces in the Middle East area are of course being considered by His Majesty's Government and in this connection the suggestion made by the hon. Members will naturally be examined.
