HC Deb 14 May 1946 vol 422 c172W
93. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for War whether any record is kept of inquiries from soldiers desiring to marry German girls: and whether any decision has been reached respecting the granting of allowances in respect of children whose fathers are British soldiers.

Mr. Bellenger:

No special record is kept of inquiries from soldiers desiring to marry German girls. No allowance is normally admissible from Army funds for an illegitimate child born during the soldier's service.
