HC Deb 08 May 1946 vol 422 c89W
91. Mr. Collins

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that residents in Taunton, Somerset are repeatedly disturbed between midnight an 2 a.m. by low altitude flying, and if he will take appropriate steps in the matter.

Mr. Strachey:

No, Sir. I was not aware of this complaint and still find it difficult to understand since there has been no regular Royal Air Force night flying near Taunton for the past two months. We have been in touch with the other Departments who might be concerned, but we have not yet been able to identify the cause of the trouble. But I will gladly make further inquiries if the hon. Member could let me have more particulars of time and place.
