HC Deb 07 May 1946 vol 422 c69W
73. Mr. Vane

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what is the value of British military equipment transferred or sold to the French Government since VE-Day and now under negotiation for transfer or sale to the French Government respectively; and whether he will give an assurance that no financial or exchange difficulties have prevented us from meeting French requests in full.

Mr. Glenvil Hall:

The value of British military equipment transferred or sold to the French Government since VE-Day is about £26 million. The value of equipment now under negotiation for sale is about £13 million. French requests have been met in full in so far as the equipment has been available for transfer.
