HC Deb 06 May 1946 vol 422 c42W
18. Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Transport what restrictions as to retention by allottees are now attached to new motor cars about to be delivered under licences issued last year.

Mr. Barnes:

None, Sir. It was a condition of all licences granted that the car should not be disposed of without the consent of the Minister of Transport. With the revocation of the Order on 1st January, 1946, conditions on licences ceased to have force and this condition is therefore not now enforceable.
