asked the Minister of Health, whether, in view of the present housing shortage, he will consider introducing legislation to make it illegal for people to have more than one place of residence, such as at present where many people have town and country houses.

Mr. Bevan:

I think that adequate powers have already been delegated to the clerks of local authorities, including the power to requisition houses only intermittently occupied.
