HC Deb 21 March 1946 vol 420 c421W
Colonel Stoddart-Scott

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he is aware that the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Vienna is in need of teachers, 92 being required immediately; and if he will take steps to see that Austrian doctors in this country are given every encouragement to return.

Mr. J. Hynd

I am informed that all posts in the medical faculty of Vienna University are filled except for two. The university authorities are, of course, at liberty to offer these appointments to Austrian doctors in this country but there is no general shortage of doctors in Austria at the present time.
