HC Deb 20 March 1946 vol 420 cc377-8W
Major Symonds

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the total number of premises, showing dwellinghouse and other accommodation, separately, which have been requisitioned by his Department in the borough of Cambridge; the numbers still under requisition, subdivided as to those occupied and those unoccupied; the periods for which the unoccupied premises have been standing empty and the dates on which they will be derequisitioned.

Mr. Dugdale

The maximum number of premises held on requisition by the Admiralty in the borough of Cambridge at any time was seven; two of them being dwelling houses. All that remains on requisition at the present time is one dwelling house and one room at the Cavendish laboratory, both of which are occupied. I regret I am not in a position to say when it will be possible to derequisition the house, but I will write to my hon. and gallant Friend.
