109. Mr. McKieasked the Secretary of State for War what steps he proposes to take to reduce the numbers at present serving in the A.T.S., in view of the urgent requirements of industrial reconstruction.
§ Mr. LawsonThe strength of the A.T.S. is being reduced continuously under the Release Scheme and by 30th June 158,200 women will have been released. This represents 80 per cent. of the A.T.S. strength in June, 1945.
