§ Mr. LawsonApproximately 67,500 West Africans of the West African Frontier Force are still serving overseas. Thirty-one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three have been repatriated to West Africa since VJ-Day. The majority of those who have been repatriated will have been released shortly after their arrival in West Africa as the West African release scheme provides for the release of personnel as soon as possible after the return of their units from overseas.
