§ 92. Mr. A. Lewisasked the Minister of Education whether, in view of the need for an international language, as illustrated by the wartime meetings of the leaders of the United Nations, the U.N.O. conferences and the Nuremberg trials, she will consider bringing before U.N.E.S.C.O. the claims of the existing neutral inter national language, Esperanto, with a view to proposing its introduction as a compulsory subject in the United Nations' schools; and whether she will consider introducing Esperanto into the schools of this country.
§ Miss WilkinsonI have no doubt that the claims of Esperanto to recognition as an international language will in due course be brought before U.N.E.S.C.O.
