HC Deb 04 March 1946 vol 420 c5W
45. Mr. Scollan

asked the Prime Minister if he will consider giving the separate statistics for England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales in the monthly Digest of Statistics instead of putting them all together as at present.

Mr. H. Morrison

The object of the Digest is to give in concise and summary form the principal statistics of the United Kingdom, and this object would be defeated if the Digest were overloaded with detailed figures for England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Separate figures for each country will, of course, continue to be published, so far as they are available, in the statistical returns published by Departments.
