§ 120. Major Bruceasked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that considerable uncertainty exists amongst the Regular personnel of the R.N., Army and R.A.F. as to how far their Service pensions, awarded on the basis of length of service, will be affected by their voluntary participation in the National Insurance Scheme; and whether, as there is a widespread view that their Service pensions should not be affected in any way, he will make an announcement clarifying the whole position.
§ Mr. BellengerI regret that I am not at present in a position to add anything to the last sentence of paragraph 39 of the recent White Paper on postwar emoluments for the Services.
