§ Mr. Gallacherasked the First Lord of the Admiralty why Mr. David Gillon, of Kincardine-on-Forth, after eight years' service in the royal armament depot at Crombie, has been dismissed while other workers with less service are retained; and whether this represents a change of policy in the employment of Kincardine men at the depot.
Mr. DugdaleThere has been no change of policy in the employment of Kincardine men at this depot. Reduction of work has made it necessary to discharge a number of workers; the selection of men to go was made in accordance with the rules and procedure agreed on the Admiralty Industrial Council, and in con-342W sultation with the workers' own representatives locally.
