HC Deb 04 June 1946 vol 423 c310W
121. Dr. Segal

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will arrange, through accredited ex-Servicemen's organisations, for a limited number of small parties of relatives to visit the graves of deceased Servicemen in some of the nearby battlefields during the next few months.

Mr. Lawson

I regret that it is not at present possible to make arrangements for such visits and I do not anticipate that transport and other conditions will have improved sufficiently to enable anything in this direction to be done during the next few months. The question will, however, be carefully considered at the earliest appropriate time and in this connection I will bear in mind my hon. Friend's suggestion as to how such visits might be organized
