§ Sir E. Graham-Littleasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will approach the Polish Provisional Government to allow orphans from Poland to come to this country for a short period of recuperation, in response to invitations from private persons willing to accommodate the children upon arrival and from a responsible reception committee registered under the War Charities Act, 1940, and operating from 29, Portman Square, W.I, who would make all arrangements except the transport to the United Kingdom.
Mr. McNeilHis Majesty's Government would be prepared to consider any scheme of this sort which might be put forward either by the Polish Provisional Government or by the Reception Committee with the official approval of the Polish Provisional Government. Full details would he required of any proposals so that His Majesty's Government could satisfy themselves that the proposals could be put into effect.
