asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will initiate negotiations to ensure that the trade deficit of the British zone of occupation in Germany should constitute a prior charge on the German gold reserve in Allied hands.

It has been agreed that all gold found in Germany by the Allied Forces is to be divided among those countries from which gold was looted by the Germans.
