§ Sir G. Foxasked the Secretary of State for War why one man and six German prisoners of war guard the empty camp at Clifton Heath, Berkshire, during the day when the camp is unguarded all night; and when he anticipates making use of this camp again.
§ Mr. LawsonThe one man and six German prisoners of war are not guarding Clifton Heath Camp but are engaged on maintenance work in the area. It has now been decided that the camp will not be required for military purposes. Steps will therefore be taken to derequisition it as early as possible, provided it is not required by any other Government Department.
