§ Major Beamishasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the nature of the undertaking, regarding withdrawal of troops from Northern Bulgaria, given by the U.S.S.R. at the London meeting of the foreign secretaries; whether this pledge has been fulfilled: or what explanation the Soviet Government has offered.
Mr. McNeilIt was agreed by the Council of Foreign Ministers on 21st September, 1945, that, on the conclusion of the Peace Treaty, all Allied forces would be withdrawn from Bulgaria. Since the Peace Treaty has not yet been signed the question of fulfilling this undertaking has not arisen.
