§ Mr. LawsonThe net cost of the pay, allowances and maintenance of the Polish Land Forces under British command and the Polish Resettlement Corps during the financial year 1946–1947 is estimated at about £33 million. I cannot, at present, give an estimate of the probable cost in the financial year 1947–1948, as this will depend upon the progress made in settling members of the Polish Resettlement Corps in civilian life.
