§ Mr. ShinwellThe output of opencast coal for the years ended April, 1945, and April, 1946, was 9,355,000 tons and 7,974,000 tons, respectively. Disposals for opencast coal (i.e., the quantity passing into consumption) were 7,871,000 tons and 9,778,000 tons, respectively.
