§ 79. Mr. C. Smithasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware of the demand for potash in the fruit-growing area of North Essex; and if he is satisfied that this area has had the appropriate share of the supplies which have been available in the last six months.
§ Mr. CollickMy right hon. Friend is aware of this demand for potash but the restrictions on the use of this fertiliser for certain crops extend to all fruit, except black currants. The position will, however, be reviewed in the autumn in the light of the supply position then obtaining.
