§ 146. Mr. Medlicottasked the Minister of Food whether he is aware that many horses and ponies which are used during the summer season at seaside resorts for pulling brakes and cabs, as well as for riding on the beaches, are used from September onwards for the carting of fish; and, in view of the fact that rations must be applied for now for the next six months and are not available for horses used for pleasure purposes, what steps will be taken to ensure that rations will be available for these horses and ponies when they are used later in the year for carting fish.
