§ Mr. Garry Allighanasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning whether, in view of the shortage of timber and tiles for roofing, he will reverse the decision of the North Kent Joint Planning Committee in refusing to pass the plans submitted by Mr. A. W. Lake, 12, Bryant Road, Strood, for a bungalow wife a concrete roof, on the ground that it would be detrimental to the amenities of the area.
§ Mr. SilkinIt is for the Strood Rural District Council in the first place, after52W consultation with the North Kent Joint Planning Committee, to give a decision on the application referred to, and I understand that no decision has yet been given by them It would be open to the applicant to appeal to me under Section 10 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1932, against the decision when given if he is dissatisfied with its terms and if the matter comes to me on appeal I shall, of course, give full consideration to all aspects of the matter.
