§ 43. Mr. Wilkesasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that over 20 Army huts on site 309, East Boldon, County Durham, are fitted with bathrooms, washing basins and electric light; and if, in view of the grave shortage of housing accommodation on the north-east coast, he will authorise the local authority concerned to use these huts for emergency housing accommodation.
§ Mr. BevanI understand the camp referred to is a permanent Ordnance Camp which, though not fully occupied now, will shortly be occupied by a medical depot. There is no immediate prospect of its release by the Service authorities.
