Lieut. - Commander Hutchisonasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware that demobilised ratings and ratings who are on final release leave, are experiencing difficulty in cashing the crossed cheques by which payment is made to them, as neither banks nor post offices will accept such cheques; and whether he will make arrangements to overcome this difficulty.
§ Mr. AlexanderIt is hoped to arrange a method of payment which will be easier, at any rate for the majority of the men concerned, as soon as printing and other arrangements can be completed.
