§ 133. Mr. Bossomasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning what procedure he adopts in cases where, in his opinion, it is desirable to require or permit a person or authority either to demolish a structure or replace it.
§ Mr. SilkinIf, as I understand to be the case, the hon. Member has particularly in mind the treatment of structures of special architectural or historic interest, I can assure him that in those cases in which my approval is required, it is my policy to secure that such buildings are preserved if their preservation is not inconsistent with desirable redevelopment.
